West Ham United are showing serious interest in Club Brugge's teenage midfielder Arne Engels.
The Belgian is an Under-19 international, while he is the captain of Brugge's reserve team.
Engels has impressed the Hammers' scouts during the UEFA Youth League, where he scored three goals and managed two assists.
According to Football Transfers, West Ham have already been in touch with Brugge, but their first offer was turned down.
It is likely that if more money is offered, a deal will be done in the coming week.
Brugge may be looking to hold onto the 18-year-old for another year, which could lead to West Ham buying him and then loaning him back for the rest of this season.
