West Ham United are interested in signing Timo Werner.

According to the Daily Star, Manuel Pellegrini's Hammers have enquired about the Red Bull Leipzig player.

The Hammers may need an attacker, as Marko Arnautovic is being linked with a move to the Chinese Super League. And Javier Hernandez wants to go to Valencia in La Liga.

But any offer for Werner will have to be a huge one, with Leipzig putting a £53.8 million price tag on him, per Bild.

And top clubs such as Liverpool may come in if they realise that he is being sold this winter.

Werner has 11 goals in 17 Bundesliga games this term.
