West Ham legend Paolo di Canio suspended by Sky Italia

West Ham legend Paolo di Canio has been suspended by Sky Italia.

The former Lazio, Juventus, Napoli, Milan and West Ham United player had been working as a pundit.

Di Canio appeared on the network showing his Dux tattoo, representing Fascist leader 'Il Duce' Benito Mussolini.

Defending Fascism is a crime in the Italian constitution and in 2005 Di Canio received a one-match Serie A ban for making a Fascist salute towards Lazio fans.

This evening Sky Sport Italia announced they were “suspending our collaboration" with Di Canio and released a public apology.
