West Ham United are launching a bid for Inter Milan midfielder Zdravko Kuzmanovic.

The Sun says the Serbian international, 25, does not figure in new coach Walter Mazzarri's plans.

The Hammers have also been lifted by news that striker Andy Carroll could recover from a heel injury in time for the Premier League big kick-off on August 17.

There were fears that he would be out until mid-September.
