West Ham join race for Arsenal defender Debuchy

West Ham United have joined the pursuit to sign Arsenal right-back Mathieu Debuchy on a loan move.

The 30-year-old is expected to leave the Emirates Stadium this month in search of regular football ahead of the summer's Euro2016 tournament.

Aston Villa and Sunderland have already expressed their interest in the France international.

Now Foot Mercato claims that the Hammers have entered the fray following the long-term injury Arsenal loanee Carl Jenkinson.

Jenkinson suffered ligament damage in the 2-2 draw with Manchester City on Saturday and is expected to miss the remainder of the season, opening the door for a potential London stay for former Newcastle United man Debuchy.
