Swansea City midfield dynamo Darren Pratley is wanted by a host of Premier League clubs.
The Sunday Mirror says West Ham United are set to battle it out with north-east rivals Sunderland and Newcastle United for the midfielder.
Contract talks between Pratley and the Championship-chasing Swans broke down last August and now the 25-year-old is free to leave in the summer.
Chairman Huw Jenkins rejected an offer from the Hammers in January for the midfielder, who has already bagged 10 goals this term and is being tracked by Sunderland and Newcastle.
