West Ham hero Tony Cottee wasn't surprised by the sacking of Manuel Pellegrini.
Pellegrini was sacked by the Hammers yesterday after defeat to Leicester City.
Cottee said, "I'm not surprised. West Ham were really poor. Defensively they were all over the place. They never really looked like scoring. When the manager made the substitution, he took off one forward in Haller for another in Antonio instead of going two up front. It's been coming for the last three, four weeks.
"I think the board have looked at it and thought, with a massive game coming up against Bournemouth, we've got to make a decision.
"I never thought it was the right appointment. The transfer policy has been dreadful."
