West Ham believe they only have a 10 per cent chance of signing Jesse Lingard from Manchester United.
Lingard joined West Ham on loan in January, scoring nine goals in 16 appearances for the east London club.
The English playmaker has taken part in preseason with the Red Devils, featuring in recent friendlies against Brentford and QPR.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said Lingard is in his plans for this season.
West Ham have little confidence they will be able to convince United to sell, per Sky Sports.
The 28-year-old is valued at around £30m.
