West Ham United are ready to lure Joe Worrall to the Premier League, if Nottingham Forest miss out on promotion this season.
The 6ft 4in centre-back is seen as one of the brightest prospects in the Championship at present.
According to The Sun, West Ham scouts have been watching Worrall relentlessly this season, and manager David Moyes is an admirer.
However, Forest would loathe to sell, and the Hammers will face competition from the likes of Brentford and Everton to secure his signature.
West Ham want to sign two center halves in the summer, as Craig Dawson and Issa Diop may depart.
