Austria striker Martin Harnik is a target for West Ham United.

The Sunday Telegraph says Harnik is a 25-year-old Austrian international, although he was born in Germany, and has scored 30 goals for Stuttgart since joining the club in 2010. He can play on the wing as well and, with Yossi Benayoun also injured, would add to West Ham's attacking options.

No fee has yet been agreed with Stuttgart for Harnik and negotiations are at an early stage.
