West Ham are eyeing Cagliari striker Giovanni Simeone.

Marca says West Ham are considering Simeone as a replacement for Sebastien Haller after his sale to Ajax at the beginning of winter market.

So far this season, Simeone has scored five goals and produced an assist in Serie A.

Simeone, the son of Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone, recently said: "I'm fine in Cagliari, but I want to change at some point in my career to continue growing.

"Spain or I really like England. Playing in other countries makes you a better player."
