West Ham defender Pablo Zabaleta has paid tribute to his former Manchester City teammates after they were crowned Premier League champions on Sunday.

Manchester United confirmed City title winners after their dismal 1-0 home defeat to West Brom.

Zabaleta said: “I'd like to send my congratulations to everyone at City – my former team-mates, the staff and of course the City fans who made my stay at the Club and unforgettable experience. The Club will always be in my heart and I'm so happy for everybody. Enjoy the celebrations!"

City winger Patrick Roberts, currently on loan at Celtic said: “I'd like to congratulate City! It is well deserved after the season they've had. They've been unstoppable!"
