West Ham crushed by Wolves

This relegation six-pointer went in favour of Wolves who strolled to a 3-1 win over West Ham at Upton Park. Wolves are now seven points clear of the drop zone whilst a clueless West Ham remain just three points from the bottom three.

The visitors put a marker down when Kevin Foley hit the bar and took a deserved lead just before the half hour through Kevin Doyle who pounced on a mis-hit James Tomkins back pass.

Scott Parker then went close for the Hammers by hitting the post then seeing his follow up shot cleared off the line.

Ronald Zubar doubled Wolves advantage on 58 minutes, and three minutes later the points were safe as Matthew Jarvis blasted in a fine third.

Guillermo Franco chipped in a late consolation and a spirited late comeback couldn't hide the deficiencies of Gianfranco Zola's team.

The Hammers overall lacked ideas and confidence and Zola will be very concerned as he prepares for the final seven games.
