West Ham United are interested in completing the signing of Real Betis midfielder Fabian Ruiz.
Manager David Moyes went on a scouting mission to watch Ruiz as his side faced Barcelona in La Liga, and he was impressed by what he saw.
Despite Betis losing 5-0 in that game, Moyes was happy with the performance from Ruiz, and he believes the player will be a valuable asset to his team during the second half of the season and beyond.
Moyes wants a midfielder added to his squad, given the form and fitness of his other players in that position. He is also looking at Leander Dendoncker from Anderlecht as a possible singing.
West Ham assistant Stuart Pearce went to watch Dendoncker recently, but the midfielder had a rare outing in central defence, which was not helpful for scouting purposes.
