Relegated West Ham United have confirmed that they are set to sign a pair of proven Premier League players.
The Hammers are getting set for Championship football under Sam Allardyce and have already secured the services of former Stoke City defender Abdoulaye Faye.
Now there are two more players set to come, believed to be Newcastle United captain Kevin Nolan and Bolton left-back Ricardo Gardner.
"Both prospective arrivals are proven Premier League players and will add greatly to new manager Sam Allardyce's first-team squad ahead of the 2011-12 season," read a club statement.
