West Ham are confident of signing Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi on a loan deal, according to the Daily Star.

The Hammers were interested in the Belgian striker last summer before he eventually opted to join the Blues in a £33m move from Marseille.

However, the 23-year-old is yet to convince everyone at the West London club and has managed just one league goal in 17 substitute appearances in his debut season in England.

It appears that the Blues could allow him to leave on a loan deal this summer and the Hammers are hopeful that they finally get their man.
