West Ham United co-owner David Gold has angered fans online.

The Sun says Gold has infuriated the club's supporters after "liking" tweets that referred to some fans as "morons" and "neanderthals".

Hammers fans have become increasingly frustrated with the owners of the club and some sections of the crowd have started to voice their frustration.

Gold liked a tweet from @claretbluetrue that read: “Well done to the three Davids.

"Funny how the moron contingent have gone quiet tonight as yet again in a highly competitive market the board have spent big."

Gold's social media activity was soon criticised for his "like", with WHUISA branding it an "appalling lack of judgment."
