West Ham closing on deal for Roma striker Edin Dzeko

West Ham are closing on a deal for AS Roma striker Edin Dzeko.

The Daily Express say the Bosnian international, 33, knows Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini well from their time together at Manchester City and has been keeping close tabs on him this season.

The Hammers are keen to bolster their goal shy attack having tried and failed to land Dzeko during the January transfer window.

Pellegrini is refusing to admit defeat in his bid to land the striker and is prepared to pay him around £165,000 a week over the next two seasons to move to the capital.

In January 2018 Dzeko turned down a move to Chelsea but has indicated that he is now willing to leave Italy for one last lucrative move.
