West Ham United are attempting to close a deal for Valenciennes fullback Siaka Tiene.
Tiene is a £1.5 million target for the Hammers, though Fulham are also keen.
The Ivory Coast international would arrive at Upton Park as a replacement for new Brescia signing Fabio Daprela.
