West Ham have stepped up their interest in Olympiakos midfielder Kostas Fortounis.
The Mirror says West Ham sent a scout to watch £15m midfielder Fortounis in action for Greece against Italy on Saturday.
But the Hammers could be forced to move on to other targets with talks for the 26-year-old Olympiakos playmaker deadlocked.
Director of football Mario Husillos is a big fan of the Greece star, who had 17 goals and 16 assists in all competitions last season.
And he had Fortounis watched in Saturday's 3-0 defeat to the Italians in Athens.
But West Ham will not pay over the odds for a player whose contract is up next summer.
