West Ham United are chasing Benfica attacker Ola John.

Foot Mercato says John is expected to leave Benfica this summer and is being courted by several Premier League clubs.

West Ham, specifically, have sounded out Benfica about a price for the John.

Newcastle United could also come into the equation should Steve McClaren take the Magpies job.

McClaren worked with John at FC Twente. The attacker is tied to Benfica until 2018 and has a buyout clause of €45 million.
