Newcastle United manager John Carver believes that West Ham United skipper Kevin Nolan will not do any favours to his ex-club at St James' Park on Sunday.
The Hammers take on the Magpies with Nolan's former club in danger of relegation but Carver suggests that will hold no bearing on his performance.
Carver said: "Kevin was great for this football club, great, and he's been great for Sam (Allardyce) everywhere he's gone.
"But like (QPR's) Joey (Barton) last weekend, he won't be doing us any favours. Joey didn't do us any favours, and I'm sure Kevin will be the same."
Anything less than a win could mean relegation for the Magpies as they lead Hull City by just two points but have an inferior goal difference. The Tigers host Manchester United at the KC Stadium.
