West Ham United skipper Kevin Nolan hailed Joe Cole's return for their 2-2 draw with FA Cup opponents Manchester United.

Nolan took a swipe at Liverpool over their treatment of his new teammate.

"It was great for Joe to come home and produce a performance like that," said Nolan. "I thought he was harshly treated at Liverpool and did not get the run of games for the quality he has.

"Joe set up both of the goals, so he enjoyed it and we have loved having him just for a couple of days. You can certainly see he feels like he is at home."
