West Ham captain Mark Noble admits the January market was a tough period for the squad.
Noble wrote for the London Evening Standard: "The last few frantic hours of the January transfer window may have provided entertainment for some but I have to say I was 100 per cent relieved when it was finally all over for another year.
"As with the Dimitri Payet situation a couple of seasons ago, this window has been thoroughly unsettling for West Ham.
"Of course the Marko Arnautovic speculation became the centre of attention but, in fact, every one of our strikers has been linked with possible moves in the past couple of weeks.
"That has to have an effect on everyone, not just the players concerned but all the squad."
