West Ham captain Noble: On-fire Hazard impossible to stop

West Ham United captain Mark Noble believes it is impossible to stop Eden Hazard when he is in full flow.

The Hammers skipper felt his side did not show their best selves in the 2-0 loss at Stamford Bridge.

But Noble also believes there is not much you can do when Hazard is in the mood to dribble past players and score sensational goals.

Noble wrote the following in his Evening Standard column about the game and Hazard: "Obviously Eden Hazard's first goal stole the headlines at Chelsea on Monday and there's not a lot we could have done about it.

"If you foul him, it's a penalty and he has such quick feet, he is so difficult to stop when he is in full flow. He doesn't let you mark him, get close to him and when he has the ball he is deceptively strong. He has a low centre of gravity and is solidly built.

"Even when you kick him — I've tried once or twice! — you can't get the ball off him.

"He's 28 and probably got one big contract left. Wherever that is, Chelsea or Real Madrid, I reckon he's looking at a nice pay day and we've probably helped him towards it by conceding that goal.

"I just hope that Chelsea fans appreciate him and don't take him for granted because he is one special talent."
