West Ham captain Mark Noble has revealed how former Australia skipper Lucas Neill was on the most honest players he played with.
Noble, in his column for the London Evening Standard, discussed how some players were prepared to confess not being at their best after games.
"Looking back over my career, one player who stood out in that regard was Lucas Neill, who was the club captain at the time.
"He would come in after a game and admit he hadn't played well.
"Craig Bellamy was similar. He could sometimes say things out of turn but he was always honest about his own performance.
"The Premier League is so unforgiving that, if two or three players are not quite there, then we will suffer."
