Gianfranco Zola revealed it was a 'no-brainer' to sign a new deal at West Ham. Zola signed a new four-year deal, dismissing rumours linking the former Blues striker with a return to his old club, Chelsea.
"I think it was a very good opportunity for me at the club," the Italian told Sky Sports.
"They (West Ham) looked after me and my staff and it was an easy decision."
Zola expressed his delight at the new deal and feels he has only achieved the beginning of the project he has started.
"Also this year we started something that has to be finished and completed.
"To have a deal with the club for four years will give me more time to plan things and work better."
