West Ham United manager Manuel Pellegrini will remain patient with the recovery of Jack Wilshere.
The English central midfielder has struggled for fitness all season due to ankle trouble.
He has not played since the start of December, but is now training with the under-23s.
According to the London Evening Standard, Pellegrini does not want to rush him back into the first team picture.
Wilshere himself is just happy to be back.
He said to reporters:"It has been great to get on the pitch.
"You cannot really get that match fitness just from running. You need to be around players. Hopefully in the near future I will be involved in the first team."
