West Ham United boss Manuel Pellegrini has confirmed Jack Wilshere is out of Saturday's clash against Newcastle.
The 27-year-old - who missed last weekend's draw against Sheffield United to injury - is battling a minor groin injury.
Wilshere has featured in eight games this season in all competitions, but has been limited to just four starts in the Premier League.
Pellegrini told West Ham's website: "Jack is with some small problem.
"He is not one hundred per cent fit.
“I think that for him it is a risk to try to come back before he has completely recovered from that."
