West Ham boss David Moyes admits Sheffield United's impact in the Premier League surprised him.

The Blades host West Ham on Friday night.

"I didn't see their success coming in the Premier League, but I should not have been surprised," Moyes said. “They have come in with momentum and they have all know what is expected of them.

“But that comes from having an exceptional manager. I know Chris quite well having come through the leagues as well.

“I quite enjoy seeing managers who have had to earn their stripes have had to do well in the lower leagues – when they have moved up for them to do it again.

“It is not a one-off or a fluke."
