West Ham boss Moyes: Dawson worthy of permanent contract

West Ham United boss David Moyes admits he wants to keep Craig Dawson at the club.

The loan star has excelled this term since arriving from Watford in the Championship.

Now Moyes wants to keep Dawson at the club for next season and beyond.

Asked about Dawson after he scored in a 2-0 win over Leeds United on Monday night, Moyes told reporters: "We're not there yet with a permanent deal but his performances and his attitude and determination are worthy of that anyway.

"We brought him in and it took him a while to get starts but now he's come in, his experience has been really important to us and he has been adding goals as well."
