West Ham boss Moyes confirms Aston Villa approach for Randolph

West Ham boss David Moyes is determined to keep hold of goalkeeper Darren Randolph.

Moyes has revealed that West Ham have rejected Aston Villa's approach to take third-choice goalkeeper Randolph on loan.

Villa enquired about Randolph's availability as they looked to sign the 34-year-old as cover for first-choice Emiliano Martinez until the end of the season.

With Alphonse Areola having moved to east London in the summer, Moyes has four senior 'keepers with Lukasz Fabianski, David Martin and Randolph all on the books.

However, Moyes was adamant that he does not want to move Randolph on this month.

"Yes, I have no intention of letting Darren go, we have had no offer," said Moyes. "So as far as I'm concerned, all we received was a loan. I can't see why I would ever let Darren Randolph go on loan. There's nothing any more than that. So that's the situation."
