West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini says it's too soon to make a judgment on this season.

West Ham meet Chelsea later tonight.

"I don't think it's time to evaluate yet because we still have six very important games left," Pellegrini told Sky Sports. "But it hasn't been a bad season because in relation to last season, there has been big progress. I think the fans have been very happy with a lot of our performances.

"It's true that it was always going to be a transitional season because we are trying to change a lot of things, but within that transition, you have to get the maximum out of yourself. You can't content yourself by saying that we are in transition and we can't do anything more. I always try to demand more, which is why I always have the objective in my mind."
