West Ham United boss Avram Grant has been blocked by the Premier League from adding free agents to his squad.
The Guardian says Grant had hoped to name 23 players in the Premier League squad to allow two spaces for further recruitment of out-of-contract players.
But he was refused by Gloucester Place. For now he has to struggle on with what he has.
