West Ham have bid for Roma midfielder Steven Nzonzi.

RMC says Nzonzi's agents are in London this week discussing a potential move and have claimed that West Ham have made a 'handsome offer'.

The 31-year-old is currently on loan from Roma at Galatasaray but the Turkish side want to terminate the agreement and have excluded him from first-team activity.

The Frenchman is hoping to sign for a club still in a European competition but is keen on moving to London as he has family there.

Roma are thought to be open to fielding offers this month, with Hammers boss David Moyes reportedly believing Nzonzi will be an asset to his squad after previous experience in the top flight.
