Millwall midfielder Richard Chaplow has been forced to return to parent club Southampton.

The midfielder, whose Saints contract expires this summer, sustained the injury during Millwall's 1-1 draw with Birmingham on Saturday.

Lions boss Kenny Jackett wasn't overly optimistic over Chaplow's prospects of a quick recovery after the game and a scan has confirmed that he faces six-eight weeks on the sidelines, effectively ending his season.
