West Bromwich Albion have sent youngsters Saido Berahino, Chris Wood, James Hurst, Scott Allan and Kemar Roofe out on loan as Steve Clarke looks to reshape his squad.
Assistant head coach of the Baggies, Kevin Keen, has said this is all part of strengthening the squad in the long run.
"They are in Steve's thoughts all the time," Keen told the club's official website.
"Hopefully they will come back better, stronger and fitter and more game-hardened and around Christmas, when we get that run of games, they will be in the gaffer's plans."
Wood, Hurst and Berahino will get Championship experience after linking up with Millwall, Birmingham City and Peterborough whilst Allan and Roofe have moved to League One with MK Dons and Northampton respectively.
