West Brom trialist Bill Hamid, Man Utd target Sean Johnson tipped to impress

Colorado Rapids goalkeeper Chris Sharpe feels Bill Hamid and Sean Johnson both have a great chance to impress in their Premier League trials.

DC United keeper Hamid has been training with West Bromwich Albion, while Chicago Fire shot-stopper Johnson is due to join Manchester United later this month.

Sharpe, once of Southampton and Chesterfield, told tribalfootball.com: "I think it will be great for both Bill and Sean. They are two very good young goalkeepers, both have good size about them and both coming off good seasons.

"It will be a good test for both of them to put themselves in an intensive environment everyday and see how the best clubs in the world do it day in and out.

"The speed and physical nature of the game is a little different in the US compared to the Premier League so I am sure it will take a little for them to get used to, but once they settle in I am sure they will be fine.

"All in all it will be a great experience for them both and knowing Sean as well as I do he will take it all in his stride and enjoy every minute of it as I am sure Bill will as well."
