West Bromwich Albion are swooping for FC Basel midfielder Marcelo Diaz.
The Chile World Cup midfielder, 28, is set to sign for the Baggies before Monday's deadline.
Hamburg agreed a fee of around £4million with his club Basel, but Diaz, who played in all four of Chile's games in Brazil last summer, is said to prefer a move to England's top flight, says the Mirror.
West Brom will continue talks today with FCB about a deal.
