West Brom striker Salomon Rondon admits Manchester United legend Ruud van Nistelrooy has had a big influence on his career.

The 27-year-old also counts former Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini as one of his ex-managers, playing for him at Spanish side Malaga.

But it is another former Premier League old boy – Ruud van Nistelrooy – who has had as big an effect upon him as any.

Rondon said: “I saw a lot of Ruud at Malaga. He taught me a lot about movement and finishing. Pellegrini was also important to my career."
