West Bromwich Albion are chasing QPR winger Matty Phillips.

The Express & Star says West Brom can expect competition from Premier League rivals Southampton if they wish to resurrect a move for Phillips in the summer.

The Scotland international looks set to be relegated from the top flight with Queens Park Rangers, whom he joined from Blackpool for £5million in 2013.

Wanting to play at the highest level might see him leave Loftus Road, but the Baggies are debating whether they need him now after signing Callum McManaman from Wigan in January.
