West Bromwich Albion's new signing Ali Gabr is delighted to be the latest player to get a taste of the English Premier League in person.

Gabr completed a move from Zamalek till the end of the season. If he performs up to standard, West Brom are likely to make it a permanent deal.

For now, Gabr is focused on showing his qualities in what he calls the best league in the world. He spoke with the club's official website about his excitement at playing in this league.

"Of course this is a great opportunity to come to the Premier League - the best league in the world," Gabr said.

"It's something I couldn't say 'no' to. I'm very happy and excited to be here. I'm really looking forward to getting started with the players and the team.

"I'm here to help the team and to do my job. Whatever the team's targets are, I'm going to help them achieve it."
