West Bromwich Albion are seeking talks with Aston Villa for Alan Hutton.
The Express & Star says Albion today confirmed that they have added Villa's Alan Hutton to their list of potential summer signings - at the risk of another fan backlash.
The Baggies said there is an interest in the 29-year-old Scottish international as they bid to shore up the full-back positions vacated by the departures of Billy Jones, Liam Ridgewell and Goran Popov.
But it's a deal which brought a sharp response on the social networks where Hutton's controversial tackle on Shane Long in a derby game three years ago has not been forgotten.
Long was taken out of the game for a month by the Hutton challenge.
