West Brom prepared to pay big for Watford striker Deeney

West Bromwich Albion have made enquiries about Watford striker Troy Deeney.

Sky Sports claim the Baggies are prepared to pay £16m for the 29-year-old.

Deeney has played for Watford since 2010 and has scored 102 goals in over 300 appearances for the club.

Albion are desperate to add more firepower to their stocks before the transfer deadline closes on Wednesday.

Alan Pardew's side have scored 19 goals this season and are currently second bottom on the Premier League table.
