West Brom midfielder Sam Field has no problem with manager Tony Pulis leaving him out for the past two games.
Pulis does not want to burn out the youngster too early, and so rested Field after a busy few weeks for the teenager that included two appearances for England under-19s.
“Obviously I was a little bit disappointed because I wanted to play," said Field to the Express & Star. “But the gaffer is doing it for a reason.
"He's managing me long-term and I thank him for that. I'm a young lad. To be 18 and disappointed not to be starting for the first team, something must be right.
"Hopefully, I'll come back later in the season and kick on from where I left off and just keep doing what I was doing."
