West Bromwich Albion skipper Darren Fletcher has no problem likening manager Tony Pulis to Manchester United legend Sir Alex Ferguson.

Fletcher says the similarities are "uncanny".

He told the Birmingham Mail: "The similarities between Tony Pulis and Sir Alex Ferguson are uncanny.

"That's why I think the transition has been really smooth for me. They are cut from the same cloth.

"It is the simple things. A lot of managers can complicate things, sometimes it is the most simple things which are the most effective.

"For a player that is good as there are no grey areas: It is black and white - 'this is what is expected of you and if you don't do it, someone will replace you.'

"I signed for the club without seeing the training ground or looking around the stadium,. I hadn't met anyone else. It was all just speaking to Tony Pulis really. That sold it."
