West Brom, Leicester alerted as Johnson in talks over Stoke exit

Glen Johnson is negotiating a release from his Stoke City contract.

The Daily Mail says Johnson is in talks with Stoke City about settling up his contract six months before it's due to run out in the summer.

Johnson, 33, doesn't figure in manager Mark Hughes' plans and last appeared against Bournemouth on October 21.

He could interest Leicester City and West Brom who are looking to strengthen in that area. If he's a free agent, a move could take place outside the January transfer window.

Johnson enjoyed a stellar career with West Ham, Chelsea, Portsmouth and Liverpool before joining Stoke in 2015, making 58 appearances for The Potters.
