West Brom join Liverpool, Southampton in race for Monchengladbach ace Nordtveit

West Bromwich Albion are the latest club to be linked with Borussia Monchengladbach's Havard Nordtveit.

The 25-year-old Norwegian defensive midfielder has already attracted the interest of Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund and Southampton but Albion have joined the race for his services according to the Daily Mirror.

Nordtveit, who spent time at Arsenal earlier in his career, is out of contract at Gladbach this summer and could leave on a free at the end of the season.

However, Gladbach sporting director Max Eberl told Bild that he is confident of tying Nordtveit down to a new deal: "We have made him a very, very good offer, and I am still optimistic that we can retain Howie."
