West Bromwich Albion are engaged in talks with Arsenal for defender Carl Jenkinson.

Sky Sports Newsreports that the Baggies wish to sign the full back, who only played eight times for the Gunners last term.

West Brom are mounting a serious campaign for promotion to the Premier League next season.

They believe the 27-year-old can play a key role in their backline next term.

Jenkinson is also attracting interest from Celtic in Scotland.

The fullback spent the 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 seasons on loan at West Ham, while he was with Birmingham City for part of the 2017-2018 season.

He never managed to hold down a regular place in the Arsenal first team, despite being with the club since 2011.
