West Brom failed with a deadline day bid for Barcelona striker Martin Braithwaite, it has been revealed.
It emerged on Tuesday that Braithwaite was the subject of an offer from an unnamed Premier League on Monday, with the former Middlesbrough striker rejecting the approach.
Mundo Deportivo says the identity of the club in question was West Brom.
The Baggies wanted to take Braithwaite on-loan to June with the option to sign outright for €15m.
However, Braithwaite resisted, as he was reluctant to swap Barca for a relegation battle with WBA.
